I'm sure they still have the file, and I'm equally sure it would be very
difficult to make a claim. You might get lucky so it is worth a try.

Bill,
I have been critical of Solarex in the past for failing to issue a recall to
cover the bad batch of MSX modules they manufactured around 1990-1, or even
to inform dealers about it at that time or thereafter (can you say
"corporate greed"?). I must concede them this, however: they maintained a
list of the bad serial numbers and replaced the bad modules that we
discovered with fresh ones.
I wonder if they will continue to do so for others that are found, now that
the 10-year output warranty has expired.
