Very good advice. I would not want my previous optimistic post to get anyone 
in trouble. Bill, my customer that I cited did indeed have extensive 
experience working TOU for two years prior to PV. He did load shifting using 
batteries and inverter set up. If you don't control your loads-trouble.

In general the tiered plan offers great opportunities and is safe. Today I 
just looked at an Edison bill where the last tier was going for $.26 /kWh. 
Though the last tier accounted for 1/3 of his consumption, it was responsible 
for about 1/2 his bill.
