UK standards [RE-wrenches]

Dear Martin, Thank you very much for sending the "Guide to the installation of
PV systems."

I encourage designers and installers to read this document. You can always learn
more when you look at something from another perspective. The document is
available at http://www.pv-uk.org.uk/

I like the recommendation on page 23 "that as a minimum, metering be installed
to display/record power and/or energy delivered by the inverter(s)" and that
"Such a display enables the consumer to read the exact amount of energy
generated by the PV system, and will contribute to both consumer satisfaction
and fault detection. Consideration should be given to placing the meter where
the consumer can readily observe it."

I also like the English language as compared to American English, like on page
12 "The DC junction box shall be labelled as 'PV array junction box,' and also
labelled with 'Danger, contains live parts during daylight'..." 'labelled' vs.
'labeled' is interesting, but the expression 'live parts' has a particular
Gothic quality that makes me wonder if the dead parts stalk the moors after
sundown :-)
