The critical need per recent discussion is for well pump systems 
designed for 48V that need to be adapted to a 24V battery system. 
Pump is the only load, so on/off switching would be before the 
converter. Therefore idle current is not critical.

For our Etapump system, no surge capacity is required as it has 
15-second soft start.
