Hi Baran,

The UTRF-120 comes in 4 shipping boxes and weighs in at over 500 lbs.. To
unpack the tracker from the boxes and figure out what goes where takes the
first hour. Plan on scaffolding as the final tracker covers approx. 12 x 14
Ft. of air space. Minimum pole length above grade is 10 Ft. per Zomeworks.
The pole, 6" Sch. 40 steel pipe, length is typically planted 1/3 in and 2/3s
out of the ground. If you need to go higher than the recommended minimum of
10 Ft. out, Zomeworks recommends using the 8" dia. sch 40 steel pipe with
the gimbal reducer they make. I usually figure on 1 1/4 + yds of concrete
for the 6" & up to 2 yds for the 8". The tracker leans over the top of pole
a true 7 Ft. when fully rotated to the east or west. Scaffolding to plan on
is 10' x 15' to do a "quick efficient install". The outer tubes with the
gas/liquid are the most labor intensive to place as the 1/4" copper tube
connecting them needs hands on to keep it from kinking (3 people). The
measuring and balancing of components as assembly is in progress needs to be
performed is critical. Plan on two days for your first one with scaffold.
The high wind upgrade in my opinion needs to be standard equipment on the
UTRF-120 as it's a bolt-on option, that makes a huge difference in
stability, for the large surface area.
