Repair of broken PV modules [RE-wrenches]

Untempered glass is relatively strong as anyone finds out when breaking
out the rest of a broken window pane. However, "regular" glass can not
take impacts from stones, hail, etc. Several years ago, a customer in
Alaska repaired an Arco ASI16-2000 using untempered glass and reported
that the module was still working three years later "like new but with
some moisture under the glass."

Since it's post Valintine Day, let me wax poetic by saying repairing a
shattered solar module is like repairing a shattered heart: you can mend
a broken heart, but the damage is permanent :-)
