 Now that I am a UFER ground expert,(thats a joke) thanks to the input of
the group, most of it less annoying then the above, I still have a problem
with the installation picturing the bare copper ground wire being poured
over with no rebar in sight.  The info on the UFER ground I've read
indicates that the copper should be bonded to the steel rebar OUTSIDE the
pour, and the rebar, which has none of the issues of flaking or corrosion
within the concrete as copper may, (especially if calcium was added to the
mix as an accelerator for a cold weather pour, common in the north),
completes the ground path through the foundation. This assumes the rebar is
contiguous, as it should be if installed  correctly. Comments?
