Uni-Solar laminates [RE-wrenches]

They shed snow BETTER than metal. We've got a 4/12 pitch in VT (yah, but
that's another story) that has the laminates on it. Sheds within a day,
which is better than without the laminates (comparing to other roofs in the
area). AND our roof is very well insulated, so it's not due to melt. A 10/12
roof that we did basically never has snow on it. Most 10/12's will keep snow
for a little bit. (That one is also well insulated.)

It's quite a sound when it sheds. The tiny ridges on the material make it
sound like a plane is taking off when the snow slides, and then boom, boom,
boom as it hits the ground. Really wakes a guy up when I work late...

How well do the laminates shed snow?

They must require a steeper slope than plain metal roof.
