So there were Iraqis piloting those airliners? Isn't the death by
malnutrition of over a million children, the collapse of school and
healthcare systems, the destruction of water supplies and other critical
infra-structure enough retaliation for the Iraqi invasion of a 3rd country
(one which actually was part of Iraq prior to the artificial creation of
borders to protect access to oil supplies)? Didn't we back the Iraqis in
their war with Iran? Didn't we actually create Hussein as the problem he is
now?

Our country's stated and understood policy has always been to never be the
aggressor in a conflict. So now we are to become the ones to attack a
sovereign nation simply because of their potential ? We sure get outraged
when other governments attempt to do the same to their enemies, don't we?
This has nothing to do with September 11th, and everything to do with
economics and our sphere of influence. The least that come of all this
crap is the de-stabilization of the entire middle-East, the deaths of a
great many non-combatants who just happen to live there, not to mention
those in uniform, further degradation of infra-structure and many, many
years of occupation of a hostile territory! This will cost everyone involved
a fortune many times over. We will not make friends because of this.

Many people believe that this whole business is a way for Old beady-eyes to
ensure his own re-election.
