Inverter Power Ratings [RE-wrenches]

Jay, Don, and all,

Be careful about making blanket statements about inverters. Some inverters
are most efficient at low load for both efficiency and surge rating (SW),
most inverters work best somewhere in the middle of their power range, and a
few inverters reach peak efficiency near peak power. It all depends on the
design goals of the inverter. That is one reason I don't like to see people
designing their own arrays without a thorough knowledge of the inverter
their using.

Been gone and just returned to this thread.

I agree with Don and kent.  Makes no sense to push the inverter, any
inverter. I mean I wouldn't recommend someone to run a SW4024 at 4kw for
all day.
