Hi Doug,
Who is MK Battery? I'm not familiar with them. Contact and phone number?
So, what do you have for information on the longevity of gels vs. AGM's in
our power systems?
2nd Best,
David Palumbo

Hi David,

We (I speak for Real Goods just this one time!) have been using MK
Battery for several years, and are VERY happy with them. Their service
and support are good, their prices are reasonable, they ship batches of
10 or more batteries for free, and they've all but bent over backwards
with potential warranty problems (which are always a nightmare with
batteries).
We're buying Deka gels, East Penn L16s, and US Battery golf cart types
from them. AGM? No, only the little tiny ones. Why do you want to go AGM
rather the longer-lasting gels? (a loaded question, easy there guys) The
Deka brand gels have been great, but we've recently had some warrantable
problems with the East Penn L-16s, which come out of the same factory, I
believe.

Best,
Doug Pratt

Has anyone had any experience with Deka AGM batteries? A battery
distributor
is trying to sell me on them over the Concorde AGM's. The Deka's look
like
that they will come in at, about, 10% less money per amp hour.
I'm leery of switching though based on our lack of experience with the
Deka
product.

On a similar subject has anyone used the Concorde 2 volt AGM cells? Any
suggestions on good distributors for Concorde battery's?
