Small Wind Turbines Towers [RE-wrenches]

Hi Travis,

I too heard the towers/bird kill story on NPR. I wanted to clarify the light
issue they talked about was with the red tower lights. It turns out that the
red lights attract birds and disorients them at night from their migratory
patterns. Studies showed that turning off the red tower lights let the birds
continue on their way with out becoming disoriented. When the lights were
turned back on the birds became disoriented again. One scientist suggested
using white strobe lights instead.
