micro hydro for Fiji [RE-wrenches]

I was wondering if anyone had any old hydro equipment, maybe a home brew or some such kicking around that might be available for some folks in Fiji.  I have some friends here in the states who would like to provide some kind of hydro system as inexpensively as possible for a village in Fiji that they visit occasionally.

There is ample water supply and the locals are currently hauling fuel in outboards between islands to keep generators going.  If anyone has any ideas or contacts please e-mail me off-list.
