What Next? [RE-wrenches]

Wrenches,

Has anyone else heard about the new French car (it's got to be a Citroen!) that runs on compressed air? According to my informant, you charge the air tank up at home (good job for a PV powered DC compressor) and drive 300 miles on one "filling". Is this cool or what?! I wonder if they use momentum to help charge the system on braking.

This seems like the perfect commuter car. No big/dangerous battery bank (except for lighting I presume), cheap to buy (no big battery bank), no exhaust emissions (while driving). 

I hope someone out there knows more on this.
