Xantrex SW Series - Additional Information [RE-wrenches]

This weekend three customers asked me what to do about the Notice of
Ineligibility of inverters for the Emerging Renewables Buydown Program
http://www.energy.ca.gov/renewables/notices/2001-12-11_ineligbl_invert.html

I told the customers that Xantrex will resolve this matter and not to worry,
but put yourself in the customer's place. You spend a lot of money on a PV
system because substantial rebates are available. A letter from the
government arrives stating that your equipment "may pose a potential safety
hazard" and "your reservation will be placed on hold" and you won't get your
multi-thousand dollar rebate until someone does something that is completely
of your control.

Xantrex is going to have to do something extraordinary to restore vendor and
customer confidence.
