Water Mizer Caps on NiCads [RE-wrenches]

Question,
Why spend the money for Water mizer's, when for only a few dollars more
you can install a watering system? I am assuming that the issue is to
reduce the hassle of watering?
Having just installed such a system, it makes the whole battery bank look
very high end, and very easy to use. cost was around $15 per cap.
