Hi Chuck,

I have parallel-stacked SW4548 E `s and always use the slave inverter to
control auto gen start.

The following might help but I haven't series-stacked so someone else might
want to comment:

Menu 11 AC INPUTS:

Set input lower
Set master at least 5v ac lower than slave (for 120v systems)

Set INPUT UPPER AC LIMIT - master should be at least 5v ac higher than
slave.

Menu 13 GEN STARTING DETAILS - set the generator warm-up seconds:
Master 40 secs.
 Slave 60 secs.

Menu heading 10 BATTERY CHARGING -
set absorption time on master to a longer setting, say 15 minutes, than the
slave.

With parallel stacking, the AC neutral terminals are connected together at
the inverters.

I also connect the DC neg. at the inverter terminals.

Hope this helps. A good guy to call at Trace/Xantrex is Steve Higgins at
ext. 2226, he has helped me out in the past.

cheers

Clive
