Let's see. ambient at 80F is ((80+40)0.555)-40=26.6C
cell is 148F is ((148+40)0.555)-40=64.3C
temperature rise would be 64.3-26.6=37.7C and not 20 C.
You cannot apply the above conversion rule to temperature
differences, only to actual temperatures.
