Carl,
I've recently had goos success with the Grundfos SQ/SQE series of ac
submersible pumps. They use a PM motor and have soft start feature
that greatly reduces the high surge. Find them at www.grundfos.com.
Their USA site is www.us.grundfos.com. They also have downloadable
application and installation manuals. Handy.
Cycling on and off can be reduced by going to a larger pressure tank.
Good Luck, Bob-O
