system output honesty [RE-wrenches]

Nobody buys wind turbines for wind farms these days without a performance
warranty - if the machines don't produce xx% of the manufacturer's predicted
annual output for the site for the first couple of years, the manufacturer
pays the difference.

Now, who's going to volunteer performance warranties for these
over-predicted PV systems? Shouldn't the seller put his money where his
mouth is?!! I'd buy a warrantied system if I had that option (and lots of
spare money).

I'm not volunteering, by the way. But I don't mislead potential customers
either.
