Kirk,
I buy mine, brand new, locally here in Alaska from the company that
sells them to the utilities. About 40 bucks for a digital Landis and
Gyr 4 jaw standard resi meter. You should be able to get them locally
too. Look in the yellow pages under Electric Suppliers - Wholesale.
