Could I get you to move back to Chicago - maybe?  My friendly local 
plumbing/HVAC/electrical contractor bills out at $95 for plumbing and 
$110 for electrical.  But they are a large operation.  The guys actually 
doing the work don't get this figure. The company grosses that amount.  
They're doing plumbing on one of my projects next week.  Curiously, they 
were actually the low bid on this.  I kid you not. Maybe they work real 
fast.  I've also gotten rates lower than the $110/hr for electrical 
work, one being as "low" as $70/hour [another "firm"].  I suspect that 
this is pretty much down at the low end for around here.  Even so, I 
think such rates for work performed by parties unaccustomed to doing PV 
stuff might be misleading in that they would probably take more time 
doing the more unconventional stuff.  I think it's called CYA.
