inverter feeding another. I am involved in a system with dual SW4048's
powered by a 10kw Bergey and 40 Trojan L16's feeding AC to another building
1200' away with a SW4024 and 16 T105's with 16 60 watt panels. We are
trying to limit the power flowing from the larger battery bank. Currently
we
have the input to the smaller system fed into the AC1 at a constant 3 amps
with the batteries floating. I think we are wasting a lot of PV power. I
was considering running the AC into the AC2 generator input and wonder if
the
generator setup mode will open and close the input relay as it would with
the
generator even though the power will be constantly available. Any thoughts
on this. Another thought is to just limit the time of day on the AC1 with
grid usage timer. This is all new stuff for me as most of my experience is
with off grid systems with ONE inverter... not 3 in two different
locations!>>

John,

I do not have an answer to your specific question of which is the best way
to power the smaller
battery bank thru the 3rd SW. It sounds like you have some ideas worth
trying.

I'm curious though. Why was the system set up this way in the first place
and are the users happy
with the system.
