Travis,

Nickel Iron batteries have a specific energy of about 25WattHours per
pound.  You can figure it from there.  A company called Utility Free
used to recycle them and had info to cross reference the numbers on them
to a date of manufacture and amp hour capacity.  I don't think they're
around anymore.
