Hi David,
We put one in a small off-grid system in Sharon. (Had to go sine wave, they
use Macs). It's worked flawlessly out of the box. The instructions are a
little poor (refer to European voltages, do not adress how to ground) but
otherwise it's been fine. No user interface to speak of, kind of like an

Subject: small sinewave inverters [RE-wrenches]
Wrenches,
I have been using Exeltech's XP1100 sine wave inverters for small systems
with good success. Now they are back ordered until mid May.
Does any body have any first hand experience with Studer J-Series sine wave
inverters. They are Swiss made and distributed by Schott/Applied Power. I'm
interested in the 800 watt continuous, 2400w surge 12 volt model. The specs
look good: up to 94% efficiency, 3 watt idle draw, .3w standby draw,
adjustible standby down to 1 watt. They retail for $760, about the same as
the XP1100-12v
Thanks,
Dave Palumbo
