Don,

How many and what type of modules per string? What size fuse was used per
string? Where was the TCB10 installed? Bill B. examined a damaged TCB10
not long ago. That installation had Solarex MSX120s, four to a string,
using slightly undersized 10a. fuses when they should have been 15a. Bill,
chime on this one if you want. Since the TCB10 is one of only a few
combiner boxes on the market which are UL listed, reports of meltdown
problems are disturbing.

Just returned from a job where I found the newly installed Trace (T cb10)
totally fried.

I know it was installed correctly. It suffered a total meltdown with only
about 1kw installed array (48 vdc nom). Has anyone had this experience? This
is a problem I don't need. But have more of these ordered for future job and
now I'm gun shy. Possible moisture in box (thats a given for outdoor
installs) but this should not have happened. It looks like the entire PC
board melted down. What other products are available for fused combinors at
a
reasonable price?.
