Hello Wrenches:

I was the guy who cancelled at the minute.
I caught a bad case of the flu just before I was supposed to fly out.
Sorry I was not able to be there but I am sure Geoff Levin did a good job.

Anyway, the folks from Germany is SMA Regelsysteme GmbH (SMA America, Inc.
here in the US).
We are finishing up our UL testing and should have our first UL product
available towards the end of March.
I have been working on UL since September so I think (fingers crossed) that
we are actually getting close to light at the end of the tunnel.

If you have any questions or I can be of any further assistance please do
not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

John Berdner

Hello Wrenches:

Another note on the SunTies: I attended Atlantic Solar's grid-tie
seminar--and the folks from Germany (ASE Inverters?) cancelled at the last
minute...so no sign of competition with Trace yet.

A fellow was there who had a 3000 watt array and a ST2500, installed last
September. The sucker never shows higher that 1200W array input in bright
sun.

That said, Goeff Levin of Xantrex/Trace (out of Boston) was there, and
admitted they were working on the MPPT problems, and hoping to have a fixit
chip out soon. FYI.

But it sure does make you not want to sell 'em in the meanwhile, doesn't
it?
