I guess I'm responding on a couple different levels here Michael (some
of it frustration). I spend A LOT OF TIME and money on first contacts.
I have a small retail outlet located on the South Sore of Lake Superior
and it contains several solar demonstrations and systems. When not on
an install, I spend my summer months talking to tourists all day long,
often without a single small sale. I often hand out free copies of HP
to those who demonstrate a serious interest (free to them) and speak at
length on the phone with people, again on my dime. I guess I just don't
consider some inquiries to be bonifide leads and personally would not
consider posting inquiries if I hadn't spent some time figuring out if
such a posting would benifit either them or a Wrench. I just want to
encourage all of us to do likewise. If, on the other hand, you believe
the Wrench list should serve as a place to bring about education of the
end user (not to be confused with education of other Wrenches) then
bring em on. Then I would agree that a seperate List may be the
answer.
I do like the way Kurt posts his leads, with both "lead" and the State
in the subject line.
