---------Soap Box Alert Warning System this is not a test-------------------

Good point Kurt but where do we send them for information? As much as I
hate to do it I spend a few minutes with every clueless person (no chance of
ever being a customer) who walks in the door explaining to them why you
can't run a whole house with a pool heater. "I don't care how big your
uncles pool was, his pool heater won't run your lights". "how many times do
I have to say it?" I give every person a well worn talk about how solar
water heating is the most cost effective thing you can do and how solar
electricity is usually only feasible for people who are to far from power
lines but if you already have power then battery less inverters offer you a
nice solution yadda yadda yadda. It takes about 10 minutes if they don't
have any questions and I never hear from them again. It always amazes me
that people call me up with the mindset to spend +15K to give the utility
company the heave ho but when I explain to them how it all works they aren't
even interested in a $2500 solar water heater that could pay for it self in
less than 5 years.

I feel if a person wants to forward a lead to the list then he shouldn't
have to do any work to pre- qualify them. Until the industry is better
developed is the wrenches job to educate the public. The SEI's of the world
probably do a great job but that is only for a few people who can afford the
workshop and the travel. If they have internet access tell them to look
around and call the guys with the cheapest solar panels for a full system
education and design session.
