My point is, if the grid tie part of the SW is say less than 5%, why
stop production?

  Apparently, a software upgrade to 4.2 is going to be required to
implement the new GTI gizmo. So why make more inverters that'll need to
be upgraded in the field?

  If you are NOT using SW units for grid tie, there seem to be some
bargains available. Several large wholesale houses have contacted us
with sale prices on in-stock SWs and Power Panels in the past week.
