Hi Alan;

Have you ever taken apart one of those solar yard lights from Homey DePot?
15$ to 20$ gets you a complete solar package that may work better than a
.com designed system. You get a fraction of a watt of crystaline cell
trimmings that charge a single AA NiCd. A photo sensor turns on a single
amber LED w/ reflector.The light stays lit for 4 to 10 hours depending on
available insolation.The thing throws enough light to read by at close
range (1 - 2 ft).
They're basically the solar age's version of the caveman torch.
