Inverter and Modulel Spreadsheet [RE-wrenches]

Dear Wrenches:

I have been reading your posts on # of modules for what inverters, etc.
As luck would have it, the latest issue of Photon magazine has a pretty
comprehensive list of all the module data.
It has mechanical dimensions, Isc, Voc, Vmp, and all the coefficients all in
one big table!
This includes a bunch of European modules we can't get over here in "The
States"

I want to be sure of the accuracy of the data so I asked SWTDI to verify the
module data for me.
I am in the process of creating an Excel speadsheet that should make it a
little faster to do module calculations.
For now, it is quick and dirty based on your guesses for highest and lowest
ambient temperature.
It's a work in progress but if anyone wants a copy please let me know
offline and I'll Email it to you.
I would really appreciate any feedback to help me develop a better version.

The guys at SMA in Germany have developed a great sizing tool (Excel
spreadsheet) but it only has German weather data.
Ideally I'll find a way to import the weather data directly from the NREL
database into the SMA Speadsheet.
Now where did I put that round tuit and time stretcher.

If you have any questions or I can be of any further assistance please do
not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

John Berdner

Purpose of list: For designers who want to do a system quick calc for power,
energy and price estimate.

No. From my perspective Trace likes to remain neutral to module
manufacturers
which is good (no favoritism) and bad (no design data).

I can't speak for Trace, but the only time in recent memory I can remember
Trace listing brands is with the TCB10 and a lot of people are thankful for
the list.

No module is excluded. Every module manufacturer who wants to do major PV
projects should chime in on this list. More choice is better. (Uni-Solar is
no
longer a part of Canon.)

What products are being released next year?

Other people share your opinion, but I do not.
