Sq D as combiner box [RE-wrenches]

Wrenches,

There was a fairly thorough discussion of this topic a month ago. Jack West
and others confirmed that the Heinemann breakers have a 25,000 AIR at 60
Volts--our battery bus voltage. I believe that satisfied the requirement for
current limitation.

However, as we discussed last month, I do not believe that a QO load center
is appropriate for use as a combiner box to meet the NEC. The snap-in
variety do not meet the requirement to have a fastener on all back-fed
breakers. Some inspectors allow the cover to satisfy the fastener
requirement, but not all.

Bill.
