Ah I love to be difficult,

In my humble opinion, Joel is right.

Heres why.  We don't know the exact specs ( for example the ST supposidly
designed for thin film) of where the inverter really likes to run ( in regard to
voltage/amps) etc.

I think it totally fair that if they have recommendations they tell us and why.
I do agree that they need not supply every design for every type of panel, but
there are differences with different panels in regards to temp/light performance
curves and there is no way that I know what they designed it for.

If the manufacture doesn't know, then I ask the question, how did they design
the equipment if they didnt' do real world tests?
