Hey Steve,  I'm not positive on this, but I believe the Solsums are of
German manufacture.  The guys up in Washington State (Lite it
Technologies?) put out a real nice DC product too.

Carl, where do you get the Osrams?  I used to buy them but then they
bought out Sylvania
or merged our something and now all I see is the Sylvania/Osram product
which I don't think is quite as nice.
