The XL-1 is rectified to at the tower top before it comes down to ground
level, if I remember correctly. So you would have to move the rectifier
package also. I just hate the thought of kissing the warranty good by this
early in the units life....

That's precisely what we did with the 1 kW SOMA to step up to 110 Volts from
a 24
Volt machine when the cable runs were long.
