Why quibble about it.  How about:

"Make corrections to the manual that accurately reflect what the unit 
actually does."

Also, add "11a."   I have had a DR with control functions settings 
stenciling that didn't match the diagram shown in the manual sent with 
the unit.  For a pro this might be just a nuisance, but for a novice it 
could be maddening if not frightening.  A change occurred in either the 
stenciling format or in the manual printing at some point but they 
didn't occur in sync.  It's a small thing perhaps but one of the things 
that falls into this general category of "printed confusion."
