DR 3612 [RE-wrenches]

<x-flowed>Hi Wrenches,

A 3612 DR inverter quit working.  The fan would cycle on and off, but other 
than that it wouldn't do anything.

The battery cables were disconnected for 24 hours and reconnected.  The 
inverter came back on line and is now working normally.

The malfunction occurred when there was no lightning.  The inverter was not 
connected to the grid, so there could have been no line surge.  Batteries 
were not being charge through a generator.

Any idea what is going on?  Should the inverter be serviced?
