4024... [RE-wrenches]

Hi Wrenches,

I am wondering if anyone has experienced what is going on with my 4024
(software rev 3.0). I recently bought a 2500 watt Honda genny and for
the first time added an input to the AC2 terminals.

I set the AC2 input at 18 amps so it has a bit of head room (it's rates
at 19.2A continuous). I set the max charge current to 17 amps. Here is
what happens... When there is a load from the house on the system,
everything works fine... but when the load on the genny drops to about
an input amps on the Trace metering of 01, the inverter starts
cycling... connecting to the generator and then disconnecting to it
every 30 seconds or so. If I add a load (say 2, 250 watt heat lamps or
setting the battery float or bulk settings higher) the inverter stays
connected to the genny.

Genny voltage and frequency are within acceptable windows... and as I
said if loaded everything is fine. I would think even without a load,
the inverter would stay synched to the genny. It isn't too big of a deal
as I would only use this for battery charging when the grid is down and
batteries needing it so there would be plenty of load.

Thanks,

Todd
