NI-Cad batteries [RE-wrenches]

Does anyone know what the maximum charge rate is for a bank of NI-Cad
batteries? A percentage like 25-30% of capacity is what I am looking for.
Any idea? I believe that they are capable of taking a higher rate of charge
but I could be wrong.
