If the post and lug are correctly designed/chosen/mated, there should be virtually no current flowing through the hardware. We have stainless bolts on several 48V strings of 1200-8000 AH that have zero problems after 5-10 years in service (admittedly not a high-cycle application but when they do cycle, they draw 300-2500 amps for hours at a time.)
